Due to the extremely discerning quality standards at Hermès, when they cannot find a certain material at a high enough quality to produce their goods, production in that material is pulled back. Right now, that is happening with Ostrich, making it rarer than ever. They have stopped making Ostrich Birkins in the 35cm size altogether for this reason. A brand new Ostrich Birkin, particularly in such a sought after color as Saffron, in pristine condition, is a rare find.
