Max Osterweis had been collecting vintage textiles from Kenya for years before post-election violence threatened to damage the industry. Osterweis was thus inspired to turn his fabrics into fashion, launching Suno with designer Erin Beatty. The New York-based brand offers gorgeous, vibrantly colored dresses and separates, all while continuing to support the Kenyan textile industry.
