There are so many beautiful products in the world...

...and I have seen, tried, and written about thousands of them. But now, as Moda’s new Director of Beauty, I have the privilege of handpicking only the very best. If you’re familiar with us, you’ll know we’re all about curation. Whether fashion, fine jewelry, home, or beauty—at Moda, we don’t carry everything. We carry the best of everything.

Like you, I don’t want to spend hours in an endless scroll. Luxury has lost its meaning in recent years, the glut of products and lines is overwhelming for everyone, even a beauty director. Too much of a good thing is, in fact, too much. Our curation is highly selective, bringing you an inspiring mix of heroes and hidden gems. You can expect some of the brands you knowthink: La Mer, Westman Atelier, Santa Maria Novella—and some surprises, too.

Everything you will see is chosen deliberately, because it is the best in its category (read: it works!) or has something uniquely inspiring to offer. You won’t find something simply because it is “new”—newness for the sake of newness is one of my pet peeves. Our edit includes the established and emerging brands we believe deserve a place in your beauty wardrobe.

As a beauty editor, I’ve spent my entire career talking to dermatologists, makeup artists, hair stylists, manicurists, chemists (full disclosure: I’m married to one), and other leaders in search of the world’s best products and rituals. Prior to joining Moda, I was the beauty director of Harper’s Bazaar, and, before that, the beauty director of Teen Vogue. I’m also the co-founder and co-host of an award-winning beauty podcast, Fat Mascara, where I talk to celebrities like Jane Fonda, Venus Williams, and Cindy Crawford and artists like Gucci Westman and Isamaya Ffrench. The one thing I’ve learned is that this thing we call “beauty” not only has the power to transform, it also helps unlock something we didn’t know we already had inside of ourselves. That’s the price of entry for every product you’ll find on Moda.
