The elegant, undulating ribs and crooked smile of the Malea Ringrens sea snail (a Galapagos native commonly known as the Great Grinning Tun) inspired the sexy black coils of L'Escargot Lamp—a hit of Helmut Newton to balance the Charles Darwin.

Its hand-dyed-leather-wrapped concrete base and steel column rises to a vintage matte-white sea-snail-shell shade with subtle flecks of black and brown, sourced from a Florida collector.
