Founded in 2013 by sisters Chiara and Giuliana Macchiavello, ESCVDO is inspired by and dedicated to the duo’s Peruvian heritage, focusing on ancestral weaving techniques with a modern take and ethical approach.
An homage to the sea as it was interpreted by ancient Peruvians in drawings and textiles, the 'Marea' is knit from cotton using the “abanico” stitch that mimics the waves of the ocean. It's been handmade by a single female artisan over a period of three weeks.
