Baozhu Convertible 18K Yellow Gold Tiger's Eye Earrings
The over-80-year-old Brazilian jewelry house—one of the country’s most prominent—was founded by the man who discovered Brazil’s first emerald mine. Cast in recycled 18k yellow gold and exquisite locally sourced stones, the pieces here nod to the lushness and hues of the Amazon rainforest.
For centuries, tiger's eye has been held as a powerful gemstone that sharpens the senses, protects against envy and strengthens one's connection with the spiritual world. Composing the Baozhu earrings, tiger's eye represents the bamboos used over 2,000 years ago in China to make up the very first examples of fireworks, displayed during festivals to banish evil spirits. Shaped in clusters or framing a magnificent emerald, the gems can be detached from the hoop and worn as pendants.
