She will reveal what it was like growing up around silver screen legends, like Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor and Frank Sinatra to name a few. There is no better place than the Beverly Hills Hotel, steeped in old Hollywood glamour, sets the scene for such a memorable experience. With it’s timeless ambiance, you will feel like you’ve steeped back into the golden era of Hollywood. Surrounded by much gardens, iconic pink decor, and the whisper of decades of the film history, it’s a the perfect backdrop for the Yul Brynner captivating tales.
As you dine, you can almost imagine the ghosts of past legends who once roamed these grounds — like Monroe, Sinatra, and Yul Brynner — giving the whole experience an authentic old Hollywood feel. The hotel, with its stories past, perfectly complements the intimate recounting of Hollywood’s secrets and golden moments, making the experience truly magical.
Yul Brynner won a Tony Award for his performance in The King and I, as well as an Academy Award for Best Actor in the film adaption. Yul went on to star in a multitude of highly-acclaimed films including The Ten Commandments (1956) with Charlton Heston, Anastasia (1956), co-starring Ingrid Bergman, The Brothers Karamazov (1958) with William Shatner, The Magnificent Seven (1960) with Steve McQueen, Morituri (1965) co-starring Marlon Brando, and The Madwoman of Chaillot (1969) with Katharine Hepburn. Among his final feature roles, Brynner appeared in Michael Crichton's Westworld (1973) and its sequel, Futureworld (1976). Yul also appeared in drag, as a torch singer, in an unbilled role opposite Roman Polanski in the Peter Sellers comedy, The Magic Christian (1969).
The brainchild of Victoria Brynner, Stage Eleven Seven draws inspiration from its founder’s broad résume in production, consulting, and brand development, as well as her experience growing up as the child of Hollywood icon Yul Brynner and Doris Brynner, a fixture on the international fashion and home decorating scenes for decades. Evoking images of classic Hollywood movie lots, the name of the company is also a nod to Yul Brynner’s birthday on July 11, 1920.
The Experience will include:
- A brunch for three guests and Victoria Brynner at the Polo Lounge Beverly Hills.
- Two hours of recounting moments of Yul Brynner’s films, friendships, that shaped Hollywood and sharing the personal anecdotes that reveal the human side of these untouchable stars.
- One 8x10 Elizabeth Taylor photographs taken by Yul Brynner for each guest.
